2 Days 1 Night or 3 Days 2 Nights
Lemanak is a tributary of the main Batang Lupar River. Many traditional longhouses can be found along the river. The journey is about 4 hours by road from Kuching and about 40 minutes by longboat from the jetty. The longboat is open roofed and maneuvered by experienced boatman with a navigator. Tourists are advised to put on the provided life jackets once they are in the longboat.
An overnight stay gives you an opportunity to have a glimpse at the lifestyle of the longhouse and its people. An evening of entertainment by the longhouse folks will give you an interesting and educational insight to the lives of the villagers . Traditional dances and music are the highlights of the entertainment. Cock fighting and jungle trekking on the following day are other highlights of the Lemanak River Safari. |
